Bellarmine鈥檚 fully online Rank I program is designed for certified Kentucky educators
who are ready to deepen their expertise, increase their earning potential, and take
the next step toward leadership. With flexible academic pathways, supportive faculty,
and personalized guidance, you can continue teaching while growing your impact in
the classroom, your school, and your community.
Currently, Bellarmine offers Rank I with two tracks: Curriculum & Instruction and
Literacy Specialist. The Curriculum & Instruction program allows you to select courses
in consultation with your advisor. The Literacy Specialist program provides you with
the coursework needed to become a Literacy Specialist upon successfully passing the
required licensure exam.

Master of Arts in Education
Bellarmine's Master of Arts in Education (MAEd) tracks can count toward Rank I classification. Build momentum toward Rank I without duplicating coursework. This is an advanced degree program for those students holding an initial teacher certification or other relevant license/certification.
Education Specialist Degree
For those with a master's degree, Bellarmine's Education Specialist (Ed.S.) prepares educators for principal certification and administrative roles while obtaining Rank I classification. This program combines a research-based curriculum with practical field experience to prepare you for the demands of leading today鈥檚 schools.
