Program Overview

Bellarmine’s Business Administration program prepares students for careers in finance, marketing, management, entrepreneurship, consulting, nonprofit leadership, and more. Students build a strong foundation in accounting, economics, finance, marketing, management, information technology, and business law while gaining hands-on experience through client projects, collaborative coursework, and real-world problem solving.

Before graduation, every student completes an internship and a capstone consulting project for a startup, nonprofit, or other organization. Graduates leave with practical experience, professional confidence, and a portfolio of applied work.

Applied Business Analytics Minor

Want to stand out even more in today’s data-driven economy?

Business Administration majors can add an Applied Business Analytics minor by completing just three additional courses through the Computer Science department. This minor equips you with practical, high-demand analytics skills for roles such as data analyst and other entry-level business analytics positions.

By combining business expertise with analytics proficiency, you’ll graduate with a powerful competitive advantage in a rapidly evolving workforce.

On-Campus Learning Experiences

The Å©·òµ¼º½ Accounting Association is a professional organization that prepares accounting students for careers in public, private, and governmental accounting. Members engage with current industry issues, develop professional skills, and connect with employers from their first year through graduation and career placement.

Delta Sigma Pi is a professional business fraternity that promotes scholarship, leadership, and ethical business practices. Members build professional networks, strengthen ties with the business community, and advance their academic and career goals.

Study Abroad Opportunities

Business students have access to study abroad programs in more than 50 countries. A popular option is a three-week immersion experience in Tuscany, which includes site visits to Central Austria at the University of Kufstein. Students earn up to six credit hours, and no prior language experience is required.

Students who continue into Bellarmine’s MBA program may also participate in a study abroad experience in France.

  • Required core courses for Major: BUSA 103, BUSA 203, BUSA 301, BUSA 305, BUSA 345, BUSA 346, BUSA 410, BUSA 420, BUSA 444, BUSA 499, and FINA 315 (30 credit hours)
  • Required related courses for Major: ACCT 101 and ACCT 102; ECON 110, ECON 111 and ECON 314; MATH 125 or MATH 117; MATH 205 or MATH 314; COMM 103 or COMM 205; PSYC 103 (27 credit hours)
  • Required core courses for Minor: BUSA 103, 203, 301, and 305

Students must achieve a minimum 2.00 GPA for all Rubel School courses (Accounting, Business, Economics, and Finance) taken in the Rubel School (not counting transfer courses) to graduate with a Business Administration major.

Do you provide job or internship placement?

Students complete a required internship, and many complete multiple internships. Examples of internship organizations include Brown-Forman, Fund for the Arts, Greater Louisville, Inc., Kentucky Derby Festival, Morgan Stanley, Northwestern Mutual, Red Bull North America, and Texas Roadhouse.
