ũ򵼺 is experiencing unprecedented growth in summer enrollment, with summer credit hours reaching the highest level in the university’s history. Summer enrollment is up 25% from last year, and students are taking more classes per student than ever before. This momentum reflects how Knights are making the most of opportunities to earn and learn by staying on track, getting ahead, and continuing to progress toward their degrees.

According to Adam Elias, assistant provost for online and innovative learning, the record-setting enrollment reflects growing demand for flexible summer learning options among Bellarmine students.

"Summer classes are hot!  Once again, we're seeing huge summer enrollment as our students are wisely using online classes to reach their educational goals at Bellarmine.  Our students have been asking for more online options on account of the flexibility they offer during the summer months as they return home, travel, or work.  We've listened, and we're giving Bellarmine students what they want.”

The growth comes as Bellarmine expands its summer offerings, including more online courses than ever before to provide added flexibility and convenience for students spending the summer in Louisville or elsewhere. Additional summer sessions begin at the end of June, creating even more opportunities for students to fit coursework into busy summer schedules.

Summer classes offer a flexible and cost-effective way for students to earn credits at a discounted rate of $675 per credit hour while staying on track for graduation. The accelerated format allows students to complete coursework efficiently, explore new academic interests, or retake courses to improve grades. With expanded online options and multiple start dates, Bellarmine’s Summer Sessions make it easier than ever for students to build a schedule that fits their individual needs. Many courses in upcoming sessions still have available spots.
